Project overview:

Live and Work in Maine is a statewide initiative created to attract and retain talent by promoting Maine as both a career destination and a place of exceptional quality of life. I partnered with LWM to redesign their website and job board, ensuring they performed better as tools for recruitment and storytelling.

Opportunity:

The opportunity was to rebuild their digital flagship from the ground up. With a strong strategic foundation. The site needed to be clear, engaging, and aligned with the dual message of career opportunity and lifestyle quality.

Solutions:

  • Collaborated with leadership to identify user needs, pain points, and goals for both job seekers and employers.
  • Redesigned the Live and Work in Maine website and job board for performance, clarity, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Conducted SEO improvements to ensure the site ranked higher for workforce and relocation-related searches.
  • Integrated brand messaging into the site to highlight Maine’s unique blend of professional and personal opportunity.
  • Streamlined user pathways to make it easier for candidates to browse, apply, and connect with employers.

Results:

  • Improved site usability and speed, resulting in stronger engagement from both job seekers and employers.
  • Positioned the job board as a more effective recruitment tool for Maine employers.
  • Strengthened Live and Work in Maine’s digital platform, allowing campaigns and partnerships to build on a stable and scalable foundation.

Role:
Communications strategist and digital partner (website rebuild, job board optimization, SEO, messaging).
